Installation guidance for SUNLIKE column radiators, designer radiators and towel rails. Always confirm the instructions supplied with the specific product and use a qualified, competent installer. Local plumbing, building and safety requirements take precedence.
Column radiator installation guide
Before installation, confirm that the wall is structurally suitable for the filled radiator weight, isolate the water supply and check all brackets, fixings, plugs and vents. Mark and level the bracket positions before drilling.
Designer radiator and towel rail installation
Designer radiators and towel rails require accurate bracket positioning and secure wall fixings. Confirm all components, use the correct drill and plugs for the wall construction, mount the radiator squarely and tighten the fittings without damaging the finish.
Commissioning after installation
- Open the air vent and fill the radiator gradually.
- Check all valves, plugs and connections for leakage.
- Release trapped air until water reaches the vent, then close it.
- Confirm stable circulation and re-check the pipework and brackets.
Safety and troubleshooting
A radiator becomes hot during normal use and must not be climbed on, used as a support or subjected to unreasonable loads. Keep children supervised near hot radiators. Cold areas may indicate trapped air or restricted circulation; leaks, noise or movement require the system to be isolated and checked by a competent heating professional.
